Healthy Snacking With Stonyfield

I’m getting ready for another round of the 21 Day Fix with BeachBody. No, I’m not a BeachBody coach and have no plans of becoming one. I do like their 21 Day Fix program though, I lost 6 pounds back in October during my first round! I learned a lot about healthy eating during that time as well. Snacking has always been a downfall for me though. I get in these moods to just pick and snack on whatever I can get my hands, usually something with a crunch.

The Struggle for Healthy Habits in Preschoolers - My Mama Adventure

Honestly, I consider us pretty lucky in the eating department with our preschooler. Considering his past with a feeding tube, oral aversion, refusal to drink – anything! The fact that we have a 4 year old that is so willing to try new foods and frequently chooses fruits and veggies over bags of chips or sweets, I’m always amazed at how far he’s come.

How Can I Help You Feel Loved

When inspiration strikes, you write. And what better inspiration than love? Especially love for your child. We love our children to our very cores, it’s so deep that it’s never ending. My dad has taught my son that he doesn’t just love M to the moon and back, but he loves him to the Oort cloud and back. That’s our new thing “I love you to the Oort cloud and back.” But how do I know that my children really feel loved? What do I do on a daily basis outside of saying the actual words? I was challenged to ask my son one simple question: How can I help you feel loved? So, I asked.

Homemade Fruit & Yogurt Parfait #StonyfieldBlogger

If you’ve been following my Instagram account, then you may have noticed that we’re trying to get healthier in the House of K home. We’ve really been trying to do more of the whole “clean eating” thing. I’ve found some really yummy treats and I’ve discovered that clean eating doesn’t mean feeling deprived. I will admit though, the holidays does make it hard. I’m a sucker for pumpkin pie and holiday cookies. But even pumpkin pie and cookies can be made using a “clean” recipe, and they’d probably taste even better!

Jump Start Your Business With Shutterfly

If you’re a stay at home mom, or anything like me, then you’ve looked into the possibility of starting your own business or joining a direct sales company as a consultant. Whether it’s to give you something outside of children or a way to bring in some extra income, you may have considered it. I know I have on more than one occasion! I joined one company as a consultant when I was pregnant with M, it flopped. Since his birth I’ve tossed around many different business ideas from an Etsy shop to going into private practice as a mental health therapist. But, in the end, I ended up joining another direct sales company, and this time, I love it!! It’s not to a point where I can quit my job, but it’s a nice extra income to help with bills.

Celebrate Earth Day by Planting in Recycled Pots #StonyfieldBlogger

This year for Earth Day, M and I celebrated in a way that I’d been wanting to do for awhile. We planted some of our own veggies! I was pretty excited to get some High Mowing Organic Seeds to plant this year. I don’t exactly have the greenest thumb on the planet, but it’s not completely black either and planting a small garden has been on my to-do list for awhile now.
